“According to victim’s elder son Harpal Singh, his father Shankar was close friend of Ganga. Few months ago, Shankar had borrowed Rs 50,000 from Ganga and promised to repay the money within a month. After a month, Ganga sought his money and threatened to kill the victim. On Saturday evening, when Shankar was alone, the four accused barged into his room and assaulted him brutally in inebriated condition and fled the scene. When the victim’s three sons returned from their work, they found their father lying in a pool of blood on his bed. They informed police,” said Tiwari.
“On the complaint of Harpal, an FIR was registered against the four accused under the section 302 (murder) of IPC. We are investigating into this matter.” SHO added.
